Unreactive Tutorial
How to set up Unreactive
Simply join unreactive on your private browser with https://unreactive.prod.kr/[ROOM NAME] and log in with twitch to join the room. You may be prompted to authorize microphone access on the browser tab. If you do not get this popup, your browser might be blocking it and you should be able to enable them for this website.
After you can see yourself, add the browser source with the same URL to your OBS scene. If you wish to hide yourself, you can add ?pov=[TWITCH USERNAME] at the end of the browser source URL.
Audio Sensitivity is the volume required from your microphone to go from idle sprite to talking sprite. Adjust as needed if you think it's not picking up your talking well.
Moving around the screen
You can click on yourself (or others if you are a Moderator for this room) and drag them around to move them. You could also double click them to open an inspector where you can more precisely change the values.
You can change the image that represents you in the Sprite Configuration tab.
You can make your move smooth with tweening options, where a speed of 1 equals 1 second per move, and 2 equals half.
You can click "Toggle Animation" to make tweening dependent on the distance between the travel, where the duration is multiplied by the ratio of the room width to the distance between start and end point.
Locking Rooms
To prevent strangers from entering your room, you can put a password in the room so that only the people who know the password can enter from now on. Type the password you want and press "Lock Room". The status will persist until any moderators unlocks the room or until everyone leaves the room.
When you join a locked room, you will not be visible to start with. and you will be prompted to type the password and press "Authenticate".
Desync Mode
Desync mode allows you to enter a "personal room" where you can mess with the position of other characters without affecting what other people in the room sees.
This also affects your browser source if you have the pov tag specified to you, and it's a way to use Unreactive in a normal reactive avatars type way.
Controlling Sprites
Sprites comes in sets: one for normal and one for talking. You can add as many sprite sets as you want in the Sprite Configuration tab, and switch between them using the "Active Sprite Set" dropdown in Sprite Control.
Sprites must be a URL to an image file (such as a png, jpg, webp, avif or a gif), and cannot be a video file. (some gifs on the internet are mp4s disguised as gifs to save disc space! make sure to check before using.)
Controlling Scenes
If you are a moderator (or if you are in Desync mode), you can change the global property of the scene such as the background.
Perspective Effects change how the characters are displayed, where instead of a flat plane, it simulates an isometric view where close things (towards the bottom) look bigger.
You can also make users without permission use a Fixed Sprite of your choice. This is useful for situations such as viewer participation events, where you can't police everyone to have the same avatar.
